Chiesa is a fifth-generation family estate, founded in the mid-1700s, with only about nine hectares of organically farmed vineyards. The family still practices polyculture, growing other crops alongside vines—now uncommon in Piemonte.
Arneis is often translated as “little rascal” in the local dialect, referring to how challenging the grape can be to cultivate and vinify.
